please be aware of scams

Dear Church Members and friends of FRCB,

Over the past few years, scams have become more prevalent especially using minister's emails and phone numbers.

Apparently, my personal email has been used asking for financial support for a trip to the Valley. Another minister from a previous Classis I was part of reached out to me asking for more information about this trip to the Valley that I had requested financial assistance from the Classis for. I am NOT going on any trip nor do I even know what the Valley means nor would I ever ask for financial assistance in such an informal way.

PLEASE BE AWARE of these scams!

I, Rev. Jennifer Legg, would never ask for gift cards, cash, or financial assistance of any sort in such informal ways through email, text, or phone. If financial assistance was to be requested, it would be on a formal letterhead from the organization that I serve with and through the church itself.

Please DO NOT answer these emails, texts, or phone calls or give any money! Please let me know if you have received such requests.

Thank you,
Pastor Jenn

Sunday Worship begins at 10:30 a.m.  Masks are optional within the church building.  If desired, you may attend in the privacy of your car parked in our parking lot.

If you would like to receive a box of weekly giving envelopes, please call the office at 518-767-2243.  Using these envelopes allows our treasurer to be able to credit your donations at the end of the year for tax purposes.

Online offerings may be made on-line via Tithe.ly and the Give button below. These donations will be deposited directly into the church bank account. You have the option to give to either the General or Renovation Fund. Both Tithe.ly and the church will record your donations.

Tithe.ly deducts a small fee per credit card transaction (2.65% plus $0.30). You have the option to cover these fees, if you wish. You may also choose to have Tithe.ly automatically donate for you weekly or monthly.

As always, thank you for your generosity.

We have peeled off the magnificent 2023 year end results of $20,200 to start a new year for the Renovation Fund Drive. The contributions by all have resulted in another giant step closer to paying this loan off! We can only ask….give what you can, every little bit helps towards reaching our 2024 goal of $20,000! Thank you and let’s pray for another great year!!

Thank you all for your cans and bottles.

The bottle and can drive continues. Please remember to place cans and/or bottles in the large garbage bin in the fellowship hall near the crop walk pictures or take them to “cents for cans” in Ravena, located on the right just before the first traffic light in Ravena. Please tell them that they are for “The First Reformed Church of Bethlehem” and the donation will get credited to our account.
